In Q2 2023, the carpooling and ridesharing landscape in Oman saw varying performance across the top 5 iOS apps. Here’s a closer look at the weekly downloads and active user trends for these applications, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride demonstrated consistent growth in weekly downloads, starting from 262 in late March and peaking at 665 by the end of June. Active users fluctuated slightly but generally trended upward, beginning at around 20.6K and ending at approximately 22.5K.

Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a significant rise in downloads, from 84 in late March to 502 by the end of June. Active users followed a similar positive trend, starting at 976 and increasing to 1.8K over the quarter.

Careem – rides, food & more saw a steady number of downloads, peaking at 220 in the week of May 22 and maintaining a stable count around 147 by the end of June. Active users showed an upward trend early in the quarter, reaching a high of 3.3K in early May, before stabilizing around 3K by the end of June.

inDrive. Save on city rides reported gradual growth in downloads, starting at 82 in late March and reaching 210 by the end of June. Active users also increased, from 278 at the beginning of the quarter to 505 by the end.

Ola: Book Cab, Auto, Bike Taxi experienced a steady rise in downloads from 56 in late March to 157 by the end of June. Active users saw a growth trajectory, beginning at 1.1K and reaching approximately 1.3K by the end of the quarter.
